Tail control surfaces on the
table.  Tack welded with a MIG.
Finished welded with gas.  Lots
of measuring before welding.
Blocks held things in place.
Another picture of the rear
elevator.
One half of the horizontal
stabilizer.
Bending the front half of the
horizontal stabilizer.

This is where the two connect in
a sleeve.
Welding on the bushings.  I tried
so many different ways to do
this.

This works, just tack fast as the
gas torch starts the dowel on
fire FAST!
All bushings held off 0.035" with
a small strip of sheet scrap.

Here I am welding the two outer
bushings.

Never clamp the bushing you
are welding.  The heat allows it
to deform.  Had to cut one off
and redo because of this
mistake.
Joining the pieces.

Measured out on the table and
they fit perfectly on the airplane!
