Setting up a jig for the
passenger rudder pedals.
1/2" tube set in jig and notched.
All notching was done with the
trusty aviation snips as a drill
powered notcher destroys this
thin wall.
Busings for the rudder pedals.

5/8" lengths of 3/16" ID bushing
stock.  The bushings were
reamed out with a 3/16th drill bit
on a lathe.
Bushings tack welded to the
pedal.  Drill bit removed before
final welding or penetration will
make it part of the assembly!

I learned that even tack welding
can catch the drill bit.  I now use
wood dowel.  It can start on fire,
but works very well.
Pedals welded in.  I used 3/16"
wood dowel to hold alignment
while welding.

Notice center section.  This is
not in the plans, but needed to
mount the pedals at
measurements specified in
plans.
Finished passenger rudder
pedal.
