I did not take as many pictures
as I should have during the
process of building the control
stick.  (Sorry!)

I used a chunk of AL to align the
straps for welding to the square
tubing.
Another view.  This piece of AL
made alignment and repeating
the measurements very easy.

Straps were tacked, block
removed, and then fully welded.
Finished end.

Notice perfect fit of the laser cut
parts.
The finished control stick.
I made the control stick
mounting blocks out of AL bar
from Wicks.  I first drilled the bolt
holes, bolted the halves
together, then used a 3/4" twist
drill bit to drill the center hole.

The control stick fit perfect
through this hole with just the
right amount of resistance.

fuselage.

A lot of work went into
what is shown on this
page.  I should have taken
more pics, but the build
process was all
consuming and fun.
Forgot about the camera!

Welding the 3/4"
bushings into the
long control rods.
Drill the holes first,
insert bushings, then
tack weld one at a
time.

This takes a while,
but take your time as
a mistake would
most likely scrap the
entire tube.
